About Author/Creator

S.P Doran began his life quest as a child in the forests of Passage West, Co. Cork Ireland; in my mind a magical place where pirates hid their treasure and mysterious people lived in a ramshackle abandoned house overgrown with vines and trees. On my adventures around the forests surrounding my home I found an old fashioned musket, with the latch broken on it. I brought it home to wash the mud off it in the sink, an act that would result in my mothers disposal of it in the dustbin.More recently I have been inspired by the Bush and forests of Australia, an equally mysterious ancient land of myth and legend. However on the subject of The Cherayroos we stray into fact and reality. These ancient creatures long ago broke their co-existence with humans….. And today beneath our remote forests in an underground world and often closer than you think; they roam viewing us with both fear and awe.It has taken until my advanced adulthood to decide to tell the world about them and their world; at some risk to them and me.For those who are the first to buy this book, my thanks. I hope you enjoy this introduction!

Book Reviews

Anita Cheng:‘ What a delightful story’ I read the Cherayroos, Underground Rules with my son and he absolutely loved it. The characters are charming, the adventure full of imagination and the lessons about bravery and friendship make it a wonderful book for kids.

Hudi BaldacchinoThe story going between two worlds, the underground and the forest and the Cherayroos is brilliant and full of inspiring imagination. This book sparked something in my kids and they would not stop talking about it.

Vivienne Hinton:I love this story, it captured me right from the start. I love the links to the natural landscape and fantasy world that felt real. Perfect to stimulate the imagination of little ones, a blend of adventure and visual storytelling.

Julieanne JordanMy daughter Summer read this book as it was sent to me as a free book. I have to say she seemed obsessed with the underground world that the creature lives in. I can say that it certainly captured her imagination. Well done on creating this world and book.

Carol MontgomeryBoth my kids aged 7 and 9 read this as an ebook version. They are not big readers but seemed interested in the creature and how ‘weird’ it looked. I asked them what they thought after reading it and they told me ‘really cool’.
